In the years past, the ICSE and CBSE streams have held sway over other educational streams in India. With changes in the educational system and the rise and development of technology, the State Education Boards have quickly changed in the 1990s and in the 21st Century to meet the rapidly changing demands of society much quicker than the national boards on education. To be current in our education of the students at Samaritans, the schools follow the syllabi of the Tamil Nadu State Board of Education.
          The positive impact of the state education system on our students is evident in their success in their courses, as well as their choice of careers in Information Technology, Medicine, Engineering and Computers, to name just a few.

Public School

Courses and curriculum for the students from grades KG to V is developed by the school’s Academic Board from a wide variety of sources including, but not exclusive to CBSE and ICSE.

Matriculation School

For grades VI – VIII, a special curriculum builds a solid foundation of languages, science and math. This is complimentary to the curriculum of the Tamil Nadu State Board which prepares students in grades IX and X for the Board Exams.

Higher Secondary School

The most challenging years of the Samaritan student will be in grades XI and XII. Students are expected to qualify for the Higher Secondary Board Exams. The curriculum is developed by the Education Board of the Tamil Nadu Government. Students can specialise in the different areas of interest including business, science, math and arts.
