Responsibilities of a Samaritan Teaching Employee/Volunteer:
Demonstrate knowledge of subject(s) through instructional practice
Guide the learning process toward the achievement of learning goals
Use assessment information to provide students with feedback, which is corrective and informative.
Establish and maintain standards of student behavior conducive to an effective learning environment
Plan, organize, create and develop written lesson plans in advance that meet the needs of all educational levels of students
Direct and supervise the work of students assigned to the classroom
Maintain productive lines of communication with students, parents, and colleagues concerning both the academic and social progress of all students
Implement administrative directives in a professional manner
Minimum Qualifications for a Samaritan Teaching Employee/Volunteer:
Bachelor’s Degree in the related content area, Masters preferred
At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred

Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality, attention to detail, proficient skills in Microsoft Office/ computerized systems and strong written, mathematics, communication and organizational skills
