Samaritans are involved in many projects, dedicated to community development, presonality building, interpersonal skill development and social services.
Samaritan Community Development Foundation (SCDF)
Samaritan Community Development Foundation caters to the need of the local tribal people, particularly the aged who are incapable of earning and taking care of themselves. On monthly basis about 50 people are provided with rice, grains, etc. Once a year they are given some clothes, utensils and bed sheets. Though more can be done to help them, we are inadequate. This project also has turned to be a significant aspect of furthering education. The students periodically interact with them, learning how to care for the elderly and helpless, respect the aged and to learn to give, expecting nothing in return. The adult literacy classes are conducted in the evenings to help the local workers to read and write.
Samaritan Adventure Sports Academy (SASA)
The Samaritan Adventure Sports Academy is another project which caters to the youth and the tribal people to channel their time and energy in physical activities and to divert their attention from evil activities. Regular matches are conducted and prizes are awarded in Volley Ball, Soccer, Cricket, Marathon Races, Cycle Races, Boat Races, Hill Climbing and Trekking.
